Tennessee
Hometown Radio Network
What is THRN?
Tennessee Hometown Radio Network is an affiliation of locally
owned and operated radio stations dedicated to serving small
communities in the State of Tennessee. It is our mission
to preserve the standards and values that made radio great
in the first place, while providing sales and promotional
resources that make it possible for small town stations
to survive and compete in an ever-changing environment.
Why THRN?
THRN was founded by radio professionals with experience
ranging from major-market consulting and media buying to
actual hometown radio ownership. THRN offers advertisers
a convenient one-stop network buy – thus making it both
time and cost efficient for advertisers to reach the loyal
listener base throughout the State. Media buyers love it
because they don’t need to negotiate and administrate multiple
buys from several small markets. Stations love it because
they have a top-notch sales team working on their behalf
ay no cost to them, and they can become a part of state-wide
radio and internet promotions that would normally be impossible
to attract as an independent.
How
does THRN work?
There is no cost to become an affiliate. You simple pre-arrange
gross rates for the year, and commit to running spots as
ordered as long as inventory is available. THRN will handle
invoicing the clients, and in turn pay the individual affiliates.
Is
there a cost to become an affiliate?
There is no cost to join the network. THRN will offer other
resources to its affiliates – web services, production,
imaging, sales seminars, consultation, market data, etc.
– that will have a cost attached, but there is no obligation
to participate.
